Our story
Built from compassion. Driven by purpose.
Onward Living was founded by people who have witnessed the devastation of addiction up close — and decided to do something about it.
Our mission
A home where recovery becomes a way of life.
We believe that lasting sobriety isn't just about stopping — it's about building something new. Onward Living exists to give people in early recovery the structure, community, and support they need to rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. Every decision we make, from how we run the house to how we welcome new residents, is guided by that belief.
"Everyone deserved a place where hope can take root."
How we got here
Onward Living was founded from a deeply personal understanding of addiction's impact. After losing a close family member to addiction, we witnessed firsthand how substance use can affect not only the individual, but everyone who loves them. That experience inspired a simple belief: everyone deserves a safe, supportive place where healing and lasting recovery can begin.
We believe recovery is about more than simply having a place to stay. It requires stability, accountability, community, and a home where people are treated with dignity and respect. Our mission is to create that environment—one where residents can rebuild healthy routines, regain confidence, and move toward independent, fulfilling lives.
As Onward Living open its doors in Los Angeles County, our commitment is to provide thoughtfully managed homes where every resident feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to move forward.
What we stand for
Our values
Honesty
We tell the truth — to ourselves and to each other. Recovery starts with honesty, and so does everything we do at Onward Living.
Accountability
We hold each other to our commitments — not through judgment, but through genuine care for one another's success.
Community
No one recovers alone. We build real relationships here — the kind that last long after residents move on.
Dignity
Every person who walks through our door deserves to be treated with respect. Full stop.
